Whats up Familia!
How is life? Anything new? How is work dad? How was Braiden’s tryouts, nobody told me if he made varsity or what happened! The basketball here is fun but not super competitive but there are a couple that provide sufficient competition haha, that was a joke. But i thought i was going to get fat when i came here, but i think i have lost fat and gained muscle cause there is an elder in our room his name is elder hatch, and he knows the Spiels, but he does like 200 pushups  and sit-ups every night so we all look at him and feel guilty for our fat bodies and end up trying to keep up with him. We 3 have come up with the sweetest situp games, like holding your legs off the floor and seeing how many corn nuts we can catch in our mouth in that time. But he is crazy.  We say WWHD what would Hatch do.
I run into Spencer Shumway and Travis Lish all the time and this week I saw Drew Wagstaff twice, they are all doing real good.  Oh ya and i did run into President Clegg after a fireside on Tuesday and talked to him for like 5 minutes about Dad and he is funny! He said he was going to call me into his office later on ask me to do something i think... but he hasn’t called me yet.
Yesterday my companion and I did a TRC training something something where we had to pick investigators up for church and take them on a 15 minute bus ride and NO ENGLISH. Iit was awesome i have no idea where the words came from (i do the spirit but you get the point) they talked about Catholic baptism and proper authority it was cool.
Our teacher Brother Pepper has decided that we don’t need to be taught Spanish in class anymore and is only teaching doctrine because of a talk that Elder Bednard came and gave (which was amazing) but i am learning so much every day. I’m like a Wizard on the great apostasy now!
O and mom you know how you use to drench my oatmeal in honey and hide grapes in there to get me to eat it well... I have a bowl every single day and love it so don’t worry your efforts have not been in vain. It’s delicious and the only thing that doesn’t give you gas here! I’m not kidding you.
But as for the getting up at 6:30 it aint so bad! At first it was but the elder in our room decided that we are not allowed to turn the alarm off until we do 10 pushups each right after we roll out of bed./ (i have managed to fake a pushup pretty well so they think i am doing it every morning with one knee) but it still works really well. The other day i had a question about the Catholic church and couldn’t figure it out, so i got on to lds.org (which is allowed) and asked a missionary on chat and the missionary walked up to our room from another building and got mad at for me for doing that... I thought it was really smart!  I am learning a lot. I understood most every single word in your Spanish letter except the exotic ones.  It was fun to read it.  Oh ya and Sunday I was called as district leader, because the elder before me moved up. So I got all these important meeting to go to.  But our Sunday sacrament meeting is all in Spanish except for the branch pres. cause he can’t speak it.
I am sending home some pictures but they aren’t the good ones cause I got the wrong ones but you get to see me and my district and companion.
Tell the family I love them!
La Paz (peace)
Elder Shaw
